Master Karthik Ramachandran

The Chess Academy welcomes “Coach K” Master Karthik Ramachandran, awesome chess player and even nicer person. One of the smartest guys on the planet. Karthik Ramachandran, Business Honors major at The University of Texas carries a triple major and 3.9 GPA with ease. A phenomenal chess player, 2222, simply dominated the under 21 division at The US Jr. Open 2012 and earned the title, Master by crushing the competition. With six masters in the field Karthik, who entered the event with a 2157 rating, finished with a perfect 6-0 score including a 5th Round victory over top-seed Adarsh Jayakumar (2372) and a 6th Round win against NM Jonathan Chiang (2235).
