Coach is one of only 3 USCF Level III Certified Professional Chess Coaches in Texas, with 20 years classroom teaching experience, he is the lead coach of the award winning Knights, a member of Houston ISD Superintendent’s Parental Engagement Committee, Houston ISD Southeast District Teacher of the Year, Certified High School Teacher of the Year, Teach Like a Champion Lead Teacher, Who’s Who in America’s Teachers, HAABSE Winner, HISD South East District Teacher of the Year, Elizabeth Brand Memorial Scholar Teacher of the Year, Houston Rocket’s Teacher of the Game and a plethora of others.
