The Chess Academy @Orlando

On the southern Eastern Coast of Florida Coach Kai Tabor has joined The Chess Academy’s stellar class of certified chess coaches offering chess classes and after school chess programs with tailored for each level of play. “King Kai” has known how the pieces moved from the age of four years old. USCF, United States Chess Federation, rating of 2034 makes chess shine in the Sunshine State.

Coach Kevin Malcom, Director of The 8th Rank Chess Team has partnered with The Chess Academy and offers classes, lessons and courses in the Alamo City with vibrant, active after school chess programs with tailored for each level of play.

Chess Skype Lessons

Using the latest chess engines and computer technology THE CHESS ACADEMY educates all correspondence classes online with Skype video conference. These courses are by appointment only.

Students are our future...

The CHESS ACADEMY participates in various community service projects and many chess competitions. Students are encouraged to volunteer for community service projects in the Greater Houston, San Antonio, Baton Rouge and New Orleans and Cleveland, OH Areas to fulfill our obligation to give back to the community.

The Knights traveled once again to the Big-Easy to do battle with the best chess players we’ve ever faced. Our visit yielded 1st place team, 2nd place individual and over 13 medals and awards. On the previous visit The Knights returned with a $40,000 chess scholarships to Texas Tech. Much was on the line including bragging rights as The Knights had the honor of doing battle once again in the Crescent City.
